So in a nutshell when you get your car detailed it’s all about preventing the above from happening ⬆️⬆️⬆️.
What we don’t want is rust ,rust ruins your body work ,ruins your day and bank balance , especially when getting a new panel resprayed is going to set you back roughly 300-400 depending on its size 💰🔥.
So above is a pretty good pic of your car panels set up .
➡️ : METAL BODY : it’s the metal panel , kinda obvious but..
➡️: PRIMER : The first layer applied
, this is normally black, white or grey and sets up the surface for colour .
➡️: BASECOAT: This is the colour coating , it goes on in a quite a matte finish ,it doesn’t have a lot of shine to it .
➡️ CLEARCOAT: Now this is what gives the car the gloss, a protective layer a bit like lacquer designed to offer some protection to your colour coat. But it’s limited and scratchs easily ( depending on manufacture) .
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT TO KNOW ?
Because it shows you why we detail, when we detail a car we remove contaminates and scratchs ( which act like nice little highways for the dirt to enter the panel ) from the car and then refine and protect it from further damage and future rust and scratching .
In essence we remove years of contamination which can lead to fading and discoloration of the car and refine the paint , renew the shine and protect the car with a coating that actively :
➡️ Reflects Contamination such as Tar and Salt
➡️Enhances the aesthetics of the car ,gloss and shine
➡️Provides a VERY hard surface to prevent scratch’s
➡️Makes cleaning the car easy , quick drying prevents water spotting.
This whole process takes time to Clean ,Prep and Apply so with no apologies it cost more money then your 20 minute drive in oppisate the supermarket .
